Today I answered with great joy the invitation of the mayor of the Țuțora commune to participate in a local celebration dedicated to children. We thus had the opportunity to give toys to a number of more than 80 children between the ages of 2 and 9. We received in return an unbridled joy and a lot of smiles of a sublime candor, a state of grace that motivates us even more in continuing our projects in the service of the community. We serve!

Lions meeting 08.06.2023 Invited by the President: Andrei Hârlăuanu - potential new member Present: Radu Gradinaru, Marian Gusta, Mazilu Marius, Radu Ciobanu, Sorin Ciobanu, Alexandru Grigorovici, Costel Irimia, Vasile Fetcu. 1. Sandu - CNL - thanks to everyone, both those who participated in the Bucharest Convention and the other members! Together with Sandu`s positive vote for the position of VDG2, there is also the need to support him, from us members of our club. Many challenges are starting to arise. We activate together. In the year of governance - taking over the functions of the district by the members of our club, depending on the availability of each one and his skills. Some diplomas were handed out at the Convention, PTR: Sandu, Radu G, Bogdan D and Cristi V. CONGRATULATIONS!!! The idea of starting a new club is gaining momentum... Our club must stay in the top.... In Iasi and the very east of Moldova. Thanks to the award-winning drawing of the student from Iasi, we will be represented in Boston by a lioness from Lions Club Iasi D, moments in which the names of our clubs from Iasi will be mentioned. It is desired that in the next 3 years we reach 1,500,000 members, internationally. ELLI - where Mirela was a trainer and handed over the mandate to Marius Popa. Costel and Sandu attended these courses, Costel deepening his duties as Club President. 2. Diabetes camp: 12 children, 9 parents, 1 assistant (7 rooms with 3 beds and 2 rooms with 2 beds - at Motel Bucium). Pick-up of children on Thursday 15.06: 10.00-10.30, followed by an ophthalmological screening at 14.00-15.00; followed by Iuliana 15.00-16.00 (session with a psychologist) - by vb Cristi Angheluta; swimming pool. Members announced for this day: Vasile F and who else was announced. Friday: at Hamak from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. - have a snack at their place - Radu G; 14.00 dermatological screening Dr Zbranca; Communication session from 16.00-18.00 Dr. Anton and Dr. Bizin. Today, June 7, 2023, on International Lionism Day, we completed a beautiful charity action started on June 1, 2023, in Baltati commune, IASI county, where the toys offered by LIONS CLUB IASI 2000 were distributed, together with the volunteers the association and with the representatives of the Department of Social Assistance, Social Protection and the Guardianship Authority within the City Hall of Baltati Municipality, lasi county. Children between the ages of 2-16, who come from disadvantaged families, families benefiting from the family support allowance and families benefiting from the minimum guaranteed income from Bălțati, Sirca, Podisu, Madirjesti and Valea Oilor have benefited from the offered toys. We serve!

With the children`s day, the Lions Club Iasi 2000 decided that this day should be celebrated and not anyway, but by making as many children happy as possible. Thus, we went to the place of the Horns of the Goat - Iasi, where no less than 178 children welcomed us dressed in traditional Romanian costumes. Happy Birthday Kids! We serve!

International Children`s Day was marked by our club by donating toys and games to children and teenagers from 3 social centers in Iași, where more than 350 beneficiaries are institutionalized, to whom fate forgot to smile. Today, however, they smiled with happiness, and we experienced, again, the unique emotion of the joy of giving, even just a child`s smile. We serve!

Several members of the Lions Club Iasi 2000, on International Children`s Day, visited the Sfanta Maria Children`s Hospital in Iasi, with the aim of making the little ones happy. More than 500 toys were donated for children hospitalized in different medical departments. A little joy brought to the little ones, in suffering, led us to plan to come back with even more support for them in the future! Happy Birthday to all children ! We serve!

Lions week dedicated to children means not only toys for the little ones, but also book donation. Thus, today our club handed over to the EuroEd school in Iași a collection of books in French composed of 120 volumes of illustrated mini encyclopedias. Because the Lions mission to serve the community also means supporting young people in the adventure of knowledge and schooling. We serve!

Today, in Ungheni commune, the children from the Kindergartens in Manzatesti, Bosia and Ungheni were present and waiting for us. Together with the educational ladies, the children pleasantly surprised us with a short program of songs and dances dedicated to June 1st. The action started at 10:00 a.m., once with the loading of the trailer and by 3:00 p.m. back in the city of lions. This meeting was organized with the support of the Mayor and the lions Iulian Taraboanta, Cristi Angheluta and Aurelian Mănuță, seconded by the young people from the LEO Acropolis IASI 2000 Club: Evelina Isac, Cezar-Mihai Mănuță and their president, Stefan Baciu. This is how we managed to make a few more children happy, who couldn`t wait for us to come to them! We serve!

The toy donation marathon continued today with the visit to the kindergarten and school in Bârlesti, Erbiceni commune, Iasi county. We brought great joy to the little students, who promised us, in exchange for toys, that they would continue to be diligent and diligent students. A school that looks exemplary, with modern equipment and passionate teachers, further proof that, also in education, "man sanctifies the place". We serve!

Of course the toy marathon continues! We went to Com Bălțati, Jud Iasi where we enlightened the children`s girls at our appearance. Here we delighted no less than 88 children with the toys offered by the Lions Club Iasi 2000. Another successful day! We serve!

And today we managed to bring great joy to some children: we went to the kindergarten and school in Dobrovăț, Iasi county, with a doldora car of toys and children`s games for all ages. We were thus able to give a smile to a number of 40 kindergarten children and over 120 students, from the preparatory group to the sixth graders. And we at Lions Iași 2000 once again experienced the unique emotion of giving. We serve!

Today I visited the National Association for Children and Adults with Autism from Iasi. The association has in its records children and adults between the ages of 14 and 29, a total of 16 people, dealing with about 12 of them daily. The activities that the 3 people hired to supervise children include: painting by numbers, free painting, occupational therapy in different workshops, painting on stones, making mosaic objects, dance days, days to prepare various dishes, etc. All of these kids are very talented and have really impressed us. Thus, the Lions Club Iasi 2000 donated 30 games and toys to the NCAAR-Iasi Association. We serve!
